Commit Scheduling 🕐
Make your commit timestamps follow your rhythm, not a robot's.
A green graph is only half the story — commit timestamps tell the other half. Commit Scheduling lets you choose when your automated commits land, so your activity reads like a person with habits, not a cron job.
Pick a schedule personality once in Settings — it applies to all your shining repos.
Schedule personalities
- 🌍 Always on — commits can land at any hour, any day. The default.
- 💼 9-to-5 dev — weekdays only, between 9:00 and 18:00.
- 🦉 Night owl — every day, evenings into the small hours (18:00–02:00).
- 🏋️ Weekend warrior — Saturdays and Sundays, daytime.
- 🎲 Chaotic good — any hour, but roughly one day in four goes quiet, the way real life does.
All windows are interpreted in your timezone, which you set alongside the personality.
How commits are spread
Within your active window, each day's commits are spread out randomly rather than fired in a burst — and the schedule guarantees your daily target is still reached before the window closes, so streaks stay safe. Commit minutes vary from day to day too, so no two days look alike.
Setting it up
- Open Settings.
- Under Commit schedule, pick a personality.
- Choose your timezone.
- Save — the schedule applies from the next commit onward.
