Questions
- What's on the card?
- Your contribution graph for the last twelve months, all-time contributions since you joined, your longest and current streaks, the stars your public repositories have earned, and your top languages by code size.
- Does it update by itself?
- Yes. The card is redrawn from GitHub's public data about every hour. GitHub caches README images too, so a new number can take a little longer to appear.
- Does it work in dark mode?
- The Auto theme follows each visitor's light or dark setting. You can also fix it to Dark or Light by adding ?theme=dark or ?theme=light to the image link.
- Does it count private contributions?
- Only if you turned on private contributions in your GitHub profile settings. They are then counted on the graph and in the totals, without any detail about the repositories.
- Is it free? Do I need an account?
- It is free and needs no account, token or setup. Paste the line and you're done.
- Why does my card show fewer contributions than I expect?
- GitHub only counts commits made with an email linked to your account and pushed to a repository's default branch. Our guide on what counts as a contribution explains the rules.
