How GitHub commit scheduling works

GitShine helps you configure recurring commits without manually repeating the same steps each day. Pick a repository, set the schedule, and choose the messages that explain the updates. Your dashboard gives you a place to manage the setup as your routine changes.

  1. Connect your account. Sign in with GitHub and review the requested permissions on GitHub’s authorization screen.
  2. Choose a repository and cadence. Configure a schedule for a repository you own and review the settings before enabling it.
  3. Customize the commit messages. Use messages that describe the work. Revisit your settings when the repository or schedule changes.

Understand your contribution graph

A commit and a contribution square are different things. GitHub applies its own attribution rules, so check the author email and repository settings if activity does not appear as expected. Our guides explain what counts and how to make the projects behind your profile easier to understand.
